When it get to a particular stage in life, every parent always expect their daughter to bring a man she intends to marry. At times, they may ask her to do this especially when age is running out of her.
This is what happened to Adeola daughter of professor Muwagun , which her parents told her to bring a man she intends to marry. Adeola was so happy when she heard this from her parents because she had been waiting for the opportunity to bring a guy called Tunde, whom they have been in relationship for over four years and they had promised to get married.
Adeola who was preparing for office when her parents called her, can't wait to tell Tunde this good news. She hurried up and decided to check him in his house before he leave for the office, she met Tunde at home and she started singing different types of songs. Adeola what is all these songs all about,did you WIN A LOTTERY,have you been promoted? Tunde its good news and you can't guess. Replied Adeola. I can't dear just break the news, Tunde no more corner love. What do you mean by that? Said Tunde. Dear my parents called me this morning and told me to bring the man I want to marry. You don't mean it? So as strict as your father is, he can still say this? Yes now, don't you think am old enough to have my own freedom ? Yes you are right I'm so happy, so when are we going to visit them now? Hmm, that will be weekend, weekend is too far why not tomorrow ? So you can complain that weekend is too far compare to four years of this relationship? Well you are right am just been curious , it calls for celebration lunch time I will pick you in your office.okay till then see you dear.Hey my kiss, till lunch time.
Adeola brought Tunde to her parents,they welcomed and entertained him very well.They asked Tunde if he really wanted to marry their daughter and he said yes.So they arranged how both parents will meet. They met and fixed a date for the wedding of their lovely children.
But a month later after the invitation card have been printed, something else happened.One morning Tunde was about to leave for office when his father-in-law to be called him that he should try to see him that day by all means. Tunde wanted to ask if there is no problem but professor Muwagun has dropped the call.All subsequent effort to get him back on line proved abortive as the network was bad.
Good morning sir, good morning Tunde, Daddy I was trying to ask you the other time if there is no problem? Yes Tunde, there is no problem its just about your intention to marry my daughter Adeola. Sir what about it? Tunde are you sure you want to marry my daughter? Yes sir, I even brought the invitation card to show you first,but why did you asked sir? Tunde you have to keep the card with you first and listen to me, if you want to marry my daughter you have to come with your parents before this month ends. Okay sir no problem I will do just that, mind you Tunde, not your adopted parents but your own biological parents. Tunde was dumbfolded to hear this, Tunde started sweating he couldn't believe this but managed to opened his mouth, bu,bu,bu but daddy I don't understand what you mean sir.You can't understand, Justice mrs Adewale is in the best position to make you understand. Tunde was so confused that he can't go to the office again,he decided to go back home and think about all what Adeola's father said to him.Please who can tell me what is happening,is anything wrong with me, have I wronged Adeola's father in any way. Is it true that Justice Adewale is not my mother? Although I was told on my 20th birthday that I lost my father in a plane crash.After which Tolu's father married my mother.Adeola's father knew this,no no I can't afford to loose Adeola now after all these years. This is a disgrace,we already printed our invitation card, no I can't take this.
Adeola checked Tunde on her way back from office, she went to his apartment and knocked, who is it?asked Tunde, its me dear, come in the door is not lock.They gave eachother a kiss. You are welcome how was office today? We thank God, Tunde you look worried, hope all is well? Darling all is not well. I received a call from your dad this morning . So I decided to see him on my way to the office, Adeola I had a shock of my life today, when your father said my mother should come and see him if I know I want to marry you. I thought he was referring to mum, but he later said not my adopted mother Mrs Adewale. He said I should bear it in mind that is not ready to give her daughter out to a bastard .
Bastard ? Asked with surprise , am confused Adeola , all am waiting for is mummy to come back from supermarket and tell me who my father is. Tunde you have to take things easy so that you will not be blame at the end of the day.Let me see my father and talk to him first may be he will be able to tell me the reason for saying that.Let me be on my way I will see you tomorrow
